American Medical Association

The American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine is a proud member of the Specialty and Service Society of the American Medical Association. The Specialty and Service Society (SSS) is the largest caucus in the American Medical Association (AMA) House of Delegates (HOD).

The AAUCM and AMA share the same goal - to represents physicians' interests and to empower physicians to provide the best care for their patients. The AAUCM provides stewardship for the continued growth of Urgent Care Medicine. The AMA supports physicians by providing guidance on crucial clinical practice topics and protects physicians' interests on such issues as Medicare, medical liability issues, public health and other vital health care issues.
