To verify a physician's Board Certification, please submit a request in writing along with a signed release from the physician to the ABUCM via mail, fax or email. Verification will be supplied within 48 hours of receipt of the request. There is no fee for verification.

The ABUCM proposes that the physicians who advertise themselves as "board certified" in Urgent Care Medicine, have in fact been certified in their area of expertise by a specialty board that uses procedures and standards sufficient to ensure that the certifed physician has the training, knowledge, and skills necessary to assure the public that he or she is a qualfied medical specialist.
