Urgent Care Center Accreditation

What is Urgent Care Accreditation?

Accreditation is a voluntary process through which an Urgent Care Center is able to measure the quality of its services and performance against nationally recognized standards. Accreditation is a symbol that an organization is committed to providing high-quality care.

Why is Accreditation Important?

Urgent care organizations will value accreditation as a measure of professional achievement and quality of care. Urgent Care Centers should welcome the survey as a constructive learning experience. The NUCCA certificate of accreditation is a benchmark of quality, not only to those involved in the health care industry but to the general public as well.

What are the Benefits of Accreditation?

Accreditation enhances the appeal of an Urgent Care Center to payors and employers, and attracts the best providers who are eager to practice at a superior Urgent Care Center.

Why Choose Urgent Care Center Accreditation?

The NUCCA program was designed by Urgent Care physicians for Urgent Care physicians. The NUCCA Accreditation process is ideally suited for the Urgent Care center. Why choose the NUCCA program? It saves time and money. The NUCCA program is economically sensitive to the Urgent Care practitioner while keeping your busy schedule in mind.

Each year more than 5 million teeth are knocked out in children and adults, many in children under 10. Like any emergency, taking the proper steps to save a tooth is vital – and the clock to do so is ticking.

As Urgent Care physicians, you are in the unique position to help people save a tooth when a dental emergency does occur. And knowing these four steps is crucial. While these first few steps are critical, referring a patient to an endodontist for expert treatment offers the best chance to preserve the health and integrity of the tooth.

Endodontists are dental specialists in saving natural teeth who have additional training and use specialized techniques and technologies to perform root canal treatment and diagnose and treat tooth pain.

The AAE website offers a number of resources for you and your patients, including the “Find My Endodontist” search function to find the nearest endodontist in your area. In addition, the most common dental symptoms are explained, including other forms of traumatic dental injuries such as a cracked or chipped tooth that might present in your practice.

By working together, the AAUCM and AAE can help more people save their teeth when a dental emergency occurs.
